Shadow crawler

In night and cold

There they go

Creeping through the trees and stones

You think you see and turn around

But nothings there, just a sound

Scraping,

Screaming,

Gnashing,

Gleaning,

Calling for your blood and soul.

They travel through shadow and time

Waiting for their kill, they undermine

You shake with fear

You know they are near

Then shadows leap

Their claws buried deep

Life is fading

They are feasting

As is the way with theses beasts

You will never know when you cease.
