I see

A raging storm

Pouring down the rain

Striking lightening and thunder

After the storm ends

A rainbow hangs up on the sky

The world looks so beautiful, so peaceful

When the storm is gone.

I envision

Calamities

City obliterated by cataclysm

Buildings crashing down in pieces

Roads swallowed by flood

The sky dark and sunless

When I go back to reality

I realize how amazing it is

To live in an undamaged city.

I dream

A nightmare

All bits of hope sucked out

Claustrophobic darkness pressing in

Endless misery and melancholy

When I wake up

I appreciate this life

Of hope and future

I experience

Isolation

Myself against the world

Losing everything and everyone I love

Loneliness and depression

When this is finally gone

I hold on tighter

To everything that I have now.

I finally understand

The beauty of life.
