I cannot see for I am blind,

nor can I hear for I am deaf,

but still I see your pain inside,

and I can hear your muffled cries.

You - so broken down and torn apart

from so deep down inside your heart.

Your mind stretched so,

giving up seems logical.

It seems to you

the more you cry,

the misery you feel inside

just sinks itself deeper,

attached to your soul like a longtime friend.

You smile and lie,

you swear that you're fine,

but it is I

who knows the truth that hides inside.

Come sit with me,

stay awhile,

where we can talk or sit

as quiet as the night,

for I have been alone,

it's true, I am so lonely,

just like you.

And though I am blind,

I still see you,

as you stare at me

from the other side of the mirror.
