Somewhere in the misty mountains

“I hear them call to me.

Every day they pass me by.

Every day I dig with my shovel.

And they keep on trying to fly.”

Someone nears you.

“I hear them call to me.

Every day they pass me by.

Every day I dig with my shovel.

And they keep on trying to fly.”

You should run.

“I never run.”

And suddenly upon him rushes a few, demonic creatures from the underworld. One by one they're slashed to bits by his shovel, their dark blood runs into the ground. The undertaker looks at them, squints his one eye a bit and then returns to his digging.

“I hear them call to me.

Every day they pass me by.

Every day I dig with my shovel.

And they keep on trying to fly.”

Death has forsaken you.

“Enough.”

Death hates you.

“Enough.” The grip tightens.

Death does not need you.

“Enough!” The voices fades. The crows fly away.

The Gravedigger pulls forth his strength. The voices will be back, in due time.

Later on as the stars shine the gravedigger takes one final look upon the grave. He holds his vial of holy water tight and gives his words of sorrow.

“Here rests Elemiah, daughter of Elindor and Haroman.”

We will destroy you one day.

A quick turn-around. Nothing's there, for the ordinary eye.

“May her soul rest eternally in grace.”

“Farewell, be carried to the heavens in peace.” Eyes turned to the left. A silhouette of a child crying.

“Thank you. Thank you for bringing me peace.”

The gravedigger turns around to bow down to the child.

“Towards the eternal river you may pass.”

He kneeled at first but then ran towards her, striking with his shovel towards one of the demons trying to seize her soul. One by one the demons fell, blood once again pouring down on the ground.

Then the demonic whispers faded away. As Elemiah's soul was carried away by the endless waves the gravedigger yelled: “I will stop at nothing to see your kind demolished! You hear me?! Nothing!”
