Knowing Me

They think that they know me

But they haven’t a clue,

They’re making a judgement

Of the things that I do.

They look down their noses,

Can’t see past the mask,

Never looking down further

Or bothering to ask.

They think that they know me

But they really can’t see

Past the facade that’s built

Round the person that’s me.

It’s all a big act,

One great big pretence;

They make all their judgements

But it don’t make much sense.

They think that they know me,

That they are reading my thoughts

And I’ve been found guilty

By their clueless courts.

They make their decisions,

What’s good for my health,

But they really can’t know me

Cause I don’t know myself.
