A day of rain and storms

Teardrops amidst the clouds

Kneeling down, I mourned

As my heart and spirit howled

My soul had cracked, my spirit had shattered

All the mirth and joy, they no longer mattered

Why had you leave me, my darling, my dear

Abandoned me in this darkness, to suffer, to fear?

I thought we were in love, the two of us bound

Like a destiny that I would never found

I thought you love me, unto death, forever

For us to part, that would just be never

Alas love is a fickle, waning thing

Like all those songs to you I use to sing

And just like that, you love me no more

Despite all the passion I had, for you, forevermore

So here I am, drowning, drenched in the rain

Sodden and soaked, contemplating in vain

Why had you walked away, my darling, I fear

Had I not loved you enough, my heart, my dear...?
