The first novel that Kay Lynn Mangum wrote was a touching story. These are my thoughts on it.

Brett Colton was a teenage boy who was suffering from cancer. He had a baby sister. Her name was  Kathy. When Brett died, he left her his journal. She didn't know about it until it was her sixteenth birthday. That was when he meant for her to receive it. It was then she started reading it. During the book, it switches between her life and his life as she reads the journal. Brett was a football player. He had many friends. One of which was Mormon.

Kathy meets a boy who is also Mormon. Being a non-Mormon herself, she is confused when he comes in late almost every day. He says it's because of seminary. "What's that?" She asks him.

"It's a class I go to to learn about the Book of Mormon."

As I read the book, I laughed and cried. It was an emotional rollercoaster for me honestly. I loved it. Being a Mormon myself, I could relate. I would recommend this book to anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it. (-:
