The Incorrigible Children Of Ashton Place

The Unseen Guest (3)

by Maryrose Wood

Children's Adventure

Miss Penelope Lumley chooses to join the three Incorrigibles, Beowolf, Alexander and Cassopeia on an adventure, travelling into Parts Unkown lead by Admiral Faucett. He has travelled, visiting Ashton Place with his fiancé Widow Ashton, the mother of Lord Fredrick Ashton and mother-in-law to pernickety Lady Constance, bringing with him rare and exstinct animal called an Ostrich.

This adventure involves recapturing the Ostrich called Bertha who has escaped her enclosure and now loose in the Parts Unknown. Admiral Faucett leads the children who have excellent tracking skills, accompanied by their governess to keep an eye on everything.

This instalment isn't as good as the first as it waffles on a little but it still made me smile. I have the fourth one to read now.

I rate 3 out of 5.
