9th June 1987, Bus Station, Walker Street

It was a dark night like no other. Aaron was waiting at the bus stop eager to go home to meet his parents after a long time. It’s the first time he was boarding a bus. He was the only one in the bus stop apart from an old man who was selling books. There were no vehicles on the street…probably coz it was about 1am. The moon was clearly visible showing off its pure white aura. The cloud was clear. The only source of light was a little tube light at the bus stop. There were cold breezes occasionally. Bored… Aaron looked at the old man. He had ragged clothes and about 15 books with him. The old man looked back and asked “Want one kid? I have all kinds of them…Religious…Romantic...Thriller…” .Being an insomniac Aaron asked if he had something of a horror genre. The old man gave a grin and said “Ohh…so you are into horror….I have the perfect book for you…”. He then reveals a book hidden in his rag and gives it to him. Aaron eagerly takes it and asks for the price. “48 dollars!!”,the old man replies. “So costly?!”, Aaron asks. “Yes! It is said that the ending is very unexpected and shocking. It’s about a bus filled with the souls of it’s past passengers.” .Aaron unwillingly pays for it and looks at the cover. “ But I warn you…whatever happens do not read the last page....” . He turns back towards the old man and he was gone. Nowhere to be seen as if he was consumed by the night. Then finally he was able to see a bus cruising through the fog. He noticed that the temperature dropped suddenly by a few degrees and felt a sudden chill. The tube light began to flicker. The bus stopped and he took a window seat with no one beside him. He then takes out the book and completes it except for the last page. Then his curiosity was overcome by fear. His heart was pounding and he was sweating cold. ”Should I read it or not?!” ,he asks himself. He could feel his heart beating quicker. “DO NOT READ THE LAST PAGE”, the old man’s words kept ringing in his head.“I’m gonna do it”, he says and opens the last page. It was blank. He was shocked and didn’t know what to do. He then notices a small piece of paper stapled on the top right corner of the page. Trembling he slowly unfolds it. Then suddenly he felt a cold breath on his shoulder. He froze still. His eyes grew wider. His palms were sweating. Mouth wide open. It was as if the time stopped all of a sudden. Suddenly it started raining outside. The calm sky turned thunderous. The he hears a creepy voice from behind him, ”Hey”.
