A promise and proposal.

Dull lights reflecting in the evening sun
Walked a thousand miles in the pouring rain

Can’t wait to utter the words like a gun

Freezing in the cold, never mind the pain

Those three words I said were meant forever

I may not offer you the world right now

But we’ll make it to the top together

I don’t care if we’re trudging through deep snow

Or if the sun don’t shine and days are dark

Even if the havens crumble and fall

Honey, you’ll always be in my heart

We will face the world and keep standing tall

Got nothing to give you, just this promise

‘Will you marry me?’ I’ve come to propose
