Gremlins

The alarm clock, it forgot to beep,

The toaster’s on the blink,

The kettle is not working,

Something’s blocking up the sink.

It takes a while to find my keys

And then the car won’t start;

I’ll have to walk and catch a bus,

My shoe, it falls apart.

My phone is out of credit,

My neighbour’s gone away,

I’ll have to find a good excuse

To stay home from work today.

I’m a bit of a disaster,

A walking catastrophe,

I’ve been picked and targeted

It’s very clear to see.

These gremlins like to play around,

They relish causing sorrow,

I’ll stay in bed and wait it out

Cause they’ll move on tomorrow.
