Perception To Blindness

You think you see so clearly but you don’t know what to do;

Those glasses that you’re staring through, they give you not a clue.

Your life it is of luxury, of confidence, of power;

You think you see but you are blind to the way we have to cower.

The society you’ve created, the one that you have made,

It values all the riches, covers poverty in shade.

You spout on and on about the way life’s becoming fair;

Well, it’s funny how the wealth remains just for the few to share.

But you’re the educated, the chosen and the strong;

It really is not possible that your perception it is wrong.

You commission all this research, fund one more study

But the findings you come up with never do relate to me.

We are the ‘normal’ people who struggle on without a fuss;

But your perception leads to blindness when it comes to seeing us.
