A piece about the deeply destructive nature of abuse, that needs a lot of self-assurance to get over

Curled up on the floor

surrounded by lies

hurt with words

broken by every mistake

Secret whispers, unheard believed

like a punch in the face

friendly smiling faces

stab your defenseless back

Afraid of your darkness

scared of showing truth

worried about being droped aside

fearing even more abuse

Broken child, torn soul

lonely and defenseless, blinded with tears

gather yourself, remember

how to be a fighter

Nothing to lose, but chains

fight for your believes

faithful to the love

down with everything you hate

All you show is a lie

pretty doll-like mask

faked smile of glass

playing cold, unreachable

There's much more to give

find those who will earn it hard

open your heart and life again

be more then just a shell
