If sleep won't come, wether you want or not, you can watch the world at it's lonelinest, eating away at your soul.

When earth's embraced in nights' wings

and darkness settles on the lands

as everyone closes their eyes

drifting into sleep

I'll lay awake

When others roll up in their beds

and float on dreams' river

as thoughts flow through my mind

refusing to grant me rest

I'll stay awake

When the night's cold

and everyone slips under their blankets

as I shiver against the chill

staring into the stars

I'll remain awake

When the dreams are sweet

and everyone's gathering new strengh

as the confusion holds me

driving me insane

I'll be awake

When the morning rays break through

and everybody's on their feet

as exhaustion spreads in me

clouding my mind

and I'm still awake....
