Thinking Out Loud

I have a familiar feeling that I am unfinished

Not in the sense of maturity or wisdom

Just that there is more to life than just living

There is more to waking up every morning and going to class

Or working for a minimum wage job

It’s bigger than a daily Routine

I try my best not to fill the void with other people

The task is too much

I tend to blame them for my unhappiness

I find peace in nature, listening to the birds

Observing the different shades of green

It’s easier to take that deep breath

Exhaling the stress and my repetitive thoughts

I can say honestly that I am happy

Even if it doesn’t last long
