You're everywhere and nowhere

I dream nights and nights

Of loving eyes and gentle touch

While you're gone somewhere

I wait right here alone

Don't know where to go

Who to be, if not yours

No lover can take your place

All money and the ruby ring

won't heal the pain

Want you here with me

Right now and forever

Never leave your side

Though I can never know

Where you are, what you do

You may hurt, vanish somewhere

Ripped from my arms eternally

Slipping through my gaze

It could be any time, any day

Last to know, it will be me

Which irony to be aware

Then just what to do?

My tears would never dry

Did you never know

In your absence I can't be

Who I am today
