Short poem on phoenix transformation based upon the life journey many humans go through of starting on an unhappy path, and transforming into a more happy and confident person, with the thought that even the most strongest of people/ creatures can come from a less happy beginning.

Also an exploration of my feelings about dealing with anxiety and depression.

Miracles can transform
in mysterious ways,
like rainbows performing
on the sun rained days

The fog dissolving
from once clouded eyes,
reforming the monocle
for joyous surprise

A new world of belonging
too imploring to miss,
learning to love
and not just resist

Shattering the mirror
you nested in to hide,
quiet courage evolving
as you emerge outside

Embracing the re-known
with a curious trust,
charting your own star
decorated in dust

The ugly duckling
no longer a stray,
was not quite a swan
but surely not grey

Leaving the catalyst
and forgetting to crawl,
but spreading new wings
with a wide sky to saw

A cacophonous crescendo
the super nova out the eclipse,
returning to live
and not just exist

Ripping the hooks that

Locked your heart tight,

Your soul once cemented

Now free, feather light

The fire erupting

In a purified dance,

Victorious vectors

Illuminating, entranced

Inhaling in faster
Flowing through veins,
And igniting your heart
As phosphorus flames

Burn with an energy
No longer worn,
because even a phoenix
Needs ashes to be born
