Years ago, when I was small

I used to run from the wind

keep my feet savely on the ground

in fear of freedom not yet known

Now I wish it would blow me away

take that tattered soul and rise it up

into the heaven it came from

it's been dropped into hell too long

I've yearned for skies so much

where I belong for eternity

where I always want to stay

dancing through a clowdy milky way

Wings of the wind, please take me up

to where this sweet voice is calling me

gentle, familiar arms will wait

in a heaven never found on earth
