"CRUD!" I yelled as I smacked into a tree. It was just a normal day... is what I wish I could say. Earlier, I'd woken up in the middle of a forest. Didn't know where, didn't know when. I was wearing a tattered black blazer with an emblem of a sailing ship on the sea on one of the pockets. Probably a school logo. I also wore some dirty black trousers and a white shirt. There wasa split on my right arm that revealed my skin, bearing a flaming dragon tattoo. Not a european dragon with four legs and wings, but rather a chinese dragon with a serpentine body and two clawed hands. It had detailed black scales and two sunset red eyes. I felt power emanating from it. I couldn't remember ever having anything like it before. And that's when I realised. I couldn't remember anything. Not even my name. I had a sneaking suspicion that this tattoo had something to do with that.

I picked myself up and examined my wounds. I looked like I'd been scrapping with a dragon. Then, from somewhere in the forest I heard something crashing through the trees. My mind told me to look around and my gut told me to run. I went with my gut. Later (about thirty seconds later) I hit the tree. I lay there dazed, with a broken nose but I knew I had to keep going. Whatever was behind me hostile. I knew that much. Eventually I ran into a lake. A giant, glittering expanse of water in a calm, peaceful and beautiful plain. I used the lake for a drink of water and a way to clean up. Then I checked my reflection. I seemed quite handsome with emerald eyes and a spiked brown quiff. I was tall and tanned, lean but buff. Suddenly my mind burst as an explosion of memories washed into my brain. My parents Laura and Kenny Solid, My name; Randy Solid, my friend Sam and some fun times with him and a name. April. Then the lake reached out to me. I saw a beautiful face surface and reach out, healing some other cuts on my face before diving back down. I then realised that I had a connection with this lake in one way or another.
