Five years ago, Kimber felt her twin sister's fear and eventually her life be snuffed out by the water that crashed against the beach, under the pier they used to play as children. Kimber lost a piece of herself along with her sister that day, and their family never returned to the lake house again.
But after all of these years, Kimber suddenly felt her sister calling her back to the lake house they spent each summer of their lives for eighteen years. Not wasting any time, she rented the house for a week and left, determined to find whatever her sister needed her to find.

She just didn't expect it to have two legs and a heartbeat.

Miss Midnight

To say this freaked me out wold be an understatement! I am a little scared of deep waters myself where the bottom descends into darkness. The beginning is strong and keeps your interest. The chapter is a nice comfortable length, and I felt no 'forced' writing anywhere. Emotions also popped nicely and gave me the feeling of being there. Brilliant chapter!
