The Lurk

The peace is broken by silence loud

A reveller which has fallen foul

This time not, for breaking law

But swallowed up by city night

With those that prowl, creep and stalk

Their day is night they come alive

Searching out the weak and lame

Not a trick is missed, but never doubt

They will kill for nought or fix you up

Good or bad they have their way

The city’s theirs at night not day.
