Picking Up Pieces is a writing about a woman who abuses her partners trust in a time of emotional turmoil. If I was asked to pair this poem with a song it would be "Your somebody I used to Know" by Gotye

Your body is bruised

Your mind is a mess

You spread your woes

With all but none

Exposing your hand

Making you vulnerably week

You sold my intellect way too cheap

To pave your way and earn your keep

Your suitors are many but you will learn

Sooner than never, they seek only to gain

You no longer need my wit or my mind

My hope is for you, please go and be strong

Farewell my friend
