I've walked so many miles because with the steps forward I've taken others back

I believe we all do, the majority of us have obstacles across our path;
But we keep moving, is it instinct, Is it will, the dreams of the shining dreams light
But what is that we really want in that dream to come in our life
To hold the world in our hands, to be loved and cherished by all
To speak words of peace, and show people that we can keep going after we fall;
That you and I are alike in so many ways
I don't just mean one person I mean my neighbors of every color, race, and Creed
Cause we all get stuck in some sort of hole, and claw to dig out
Within that hole it's beautiful to know someone's hand is there, someone I've never met but care about;
My heart has love for my fellow man and women, the animals and earth
Something to preserve as it was given to us at birth
So Id wrap my hand around yours cause solidarity is what we need when times are tough
Within our own selves we go through problems, but knowing we can stand together no problem should ever be to much
