I wipe your cheek and tell you not to cry
You look gorgeous tonight
Tears on the airport floor as I board my flight
I don't want this to be my last image of you, I need a smile
Don't know if I'm coming back, if I do it'll be a while
Just know you're #1 on speed dial
You try to play it cool meanwhile
Your eyes tell the story
I read em like a book "You won't ever come back for me."
They accuse my dreams of being excuses to chase this glory
And it's painfully clear that you're in pain for me

You don't trust me
I can't blame you, I was once prone to mischief
Easily tempted, and now you factor in the distance
It seems impossible that its in me to stay committed
But my actions will speak louder than words which are unconvincing
I give you a last kiss, try to appeal to your senses
And leave you with a promise, wait for me, I'll send a ticket
