Love in time proves itself a taunting game
Fear of it clouds every thought
Heart and head in conflict with each card it holds
But soul gives in and with everything it's got
Each deck holds the perfect one that
Can either make you or break you

The card that can win it all
Brings you happiness and bliss
Of which is indescribable

The card that fills you with regret
And seals a death warrant
Brings only hardship and binds you to a contract which is inescapable

The dealer races in every game
And deals a noose each time
With only one
that can make the risk worth it

Prized possessions and addiction set a course for failure
Each worry that passes in and out is proof of the High Stakes in which one and all play a part

Players must decide on whether they want to leap or whether they want to walk
When the game is finished
You either go home in glory or trudge back in worry

Like a game of chance, love finds a way to create or destroy.
