Marionette

I’m a marionette, a puppet with strings

And look at the power over me it brings.

You control my arms, making me wave

You pull the strings and make sure I behave.

You summon me to you with not even a call

And manipulate strings bringing me to a fall.

Come on now faster, you stupid slow bitch’,

You’ll yank on those strings giving them such a twitch.

One will pull one way, one will the other,

There’s a law of physics you have yet to discover;

These strings they’re tangled, they’re all in a mess

And the strain it is growing, I have to confess,

These strings are so taut they have reached what they’ll take

You pull them much harder then they’re gonna break!

And what is a marionette with broken strings?

Something that’s useless and can’t do a thing.

So beware what you’re doing ‘cause I’m gonna fall

And then finally I’ll be away from it all.
