I

As We Saw It-

There it was,

Consistent as color,

Decrepit and Dark.

II

Firm and Secure,

Holding close our warmth,

“The Blanket of Night” isn’t

Just a phrase.

III

It radiates out,

roiling waves,

Poisonous to those

Unaccustomed,

Life to them

Born to it.

IV

It comes in tides,

Deep zones,

Benthic, Chthonic,

Pressure found the

Deeper you swim.

V

Blank to remember,

Memory banked on the

Blank-Black.

VI

clear, Crystalline,

multiple facets

Multiplies the Façades,

Cut and polished,

Precious.

VII

Melodies

 Melancholically bass

A symphony,

imagination key

of chords-

VIII

Thick as cord,

Twine by twine

tangible, tangled,

Webs across

 the world wide.

IX

No matter

the force, will

and strength doeth not

purvey me-

Yet a Gentle touch does

Lay me bare.

X

the soft down,

dim yet never dull,

pallor rich

as gold beseech me-

the “Scholar Eyes”

of Night-

An Owl

XI

To these I dare

Not reply,

Abiding by law

The Criminals’ Fence,

so- assumed

“Offense by the Night.”

XII

Try hard as I

Might,

I cannot betray

The secrets,

For we all share them,

Nyx Is Night.

XIII

Colour,

A Blanket,

Irradiation,

The Oceans.

The Screen of Memories,

The Darke Core of Amethyst.

Day-Dream Lullaby,

Chords of Thought,

A Stolid Locked Door,

The Silent, Scowling Owl,

The Aphotic Passage of Unconsciousness,

A God Personifyed,

And Its Nature-

It is the Darkness of Night.
