There was a time when I used to look up at the vast night sky in adoration and wonder. The mind becomes occupied with superficial aspects of realty and the heart may loose fondness of the simplicities of nature. This is a poem that reflects on those simpler, beautiful moments in life, living and loving the natural course of events, about going with the the kinetic flow of life.

A New

The night’s dew procured a billowy sky of a dark and poignant blue.

Annexed to its gradient descent, I affixed my gaze upon a radiant and glistening moon.

Tis a staggering spectacle of light, so innocuous and so true.

So fair and so pure as the night renders a new.

I glanced towards the heavens, all the while thinking of you.

The enchanting songs of the wild serenades the restless few.

Alas we meet again, and thus ascends an eagerly awaiting view.

The morning struck, and so its absence askew.

The day brought us a gift, yet another new.
