What happened to colour? When we were young it was everywhere we look. As we get older, everything seems to get darker and we find there is no more colour.

The grass isgreen, the sky is blue, and the sun is yellow,

that's how it was in coloring books.

Be yourself, vibrant and not mellow.

As we get older, we become more captive to the world's desires and hooks.

Flowers come in purples and pinks,

and you don't need to think.

With your friends go play and have fun;

Now from your enemies you want to run.

Colors seep into my brain,

leaving a vibrant stain.

Now shades of black and white consume me

is this how it is supposed to be?

Everything is perfect and everyone is kind

now everyone is put behind.

Fairytales were my life's map,

now I sit and laugh.

No such thing,

no prince on the other end of a telephone ring.

Adulthood is different; for there is no color. No going back to the

dream of childhood with many colors.

Wow. Just wow. Very depressing. I like how you lightened it up by playing around with your font. Emotional poem and great job!
