As the stars cross the sky, after sunset,

And the summer breezes drift across my face

I will hold you in my thoughts and my heart;

And never shall they leave without a trace.

As the moon rises high to join the heavens

And the comfort of the night calms the day

I remember sweeter times and joyful moments

Before those later years took you away.

When you visit me in these moonlit times

And we reminisce about all those years ago

I find comfort in these vivid dreams of you

And in that better place that someday I will go

So come visit me in moonlight and in shadow,

Don't be shy; come as often as you can.

And when the end comes, beckoning unto me,

I hope it’s you that reaches out to take my hand.
