What place is this?

Why are we here?

Where her tongue
touches mine
torches blaze
in dark cities,
the lights of stars
blush with shame.

Her body and mine
engage and mold
and move
like the eruption
of volcanoes.

Where her wings spread
an army swim
to their victory
over each and all,
and a vast future
is begun,
and the dying
of the rest
one by one.

Why this place?

And why here?

I have touched
the element
of her surprise,
(mollis fructus)
and sent sparks
of electricity through
every vein
and nerve
of her being,
and in our darkness
there is just
a little seeing.
