BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I slowly reached up and turned the alarm off. Then I carefully tried to fall back asleep. "Saturday..." I moaned in happiness.

Then I heard a knock on my door, it was my sister May. She's a junior in high school. She's pretty popular, I think the only reason some people are nice to me is because they’re afraid she will hate them. She is also the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She has long strait brown hair, and big blue eyes. She always wears silver rings on her thumb and ring finger, and four bracelets on her right wrist. She also wears a lot of white, it complements her tan skin. She claims she didn’t always look like that, and that she was clumsy and weird, but my parents and I claim she has always been perfect.

"Hey, Skyler are you ready to go, the bus is down the block." she said softly.

I shot my head up and looked at the date on my phone. "It's Thursday!" I flew out of bed to my closet.

"Yeah I'll be right down." I yelled back to her. I opened the doors to my closet, and search for something to wear. "No... No... No... There is nothing!" Finally I found my red hoody and my light blue shorts. I ran to my bathroom and put my thick light brown curly hair in a pony. "Yuck I hate my stupid hair!" I whispered to myself. I grabbed my tooth brush, and franticly bushed my teeth. I ran back out of the bathroom to search for my glasses, they are big and red. My mom thought if they were big and red I'll never lose them, but somehow I always do. Finally I found them under my bed. I slipped on my blue tennis shoes, and ran down my old creaky brown stairs. I grabbed some toast, and ran out the front door to the bus.

At school I felt like everyone was laughing at me, or talking about me. I feel like even the teachers hated me. I was walking to my locker when I saw May and her boyfriend, Mark. I walked towards her when I saw her the rest of her friends, Marissa, Julia, Gianni, and Caden. The new guy, Brodey, was standing with them too. He had a sort of sandy blond hair that spiked up in the front, and light blue eyes. He didn’t see me, but it looked like May and her friends were waiting for me. My sister saw me, and tried to call me over. I pretended I didn't hear her, and I walked away.

After school I decided not to ride the bus, I usually don't anyway. On my way home it was peace full, and sunny out. It's usually really windy, but when I was walking, I felt peace full and happy. However, I felt like I was being watched. I turned, and looked around, but there was no one.

As soon as I turned the corner to my block it started to get windy again, so I walked a little faster. I got to my house, when I heard someone call me. I spun around, and the wind stopped. Looking around I finally saw May, and her friends in her boyfriend's red convertible.

“Hey, Skyler,” May stood up waving to me. “Come here!”

Hesitantly, I walked to the car. Julia looked at me with a big smile. She stroked her hand through her straight blonde hair, keeping it away from her face, then waved to me. “Hey May, what’s up?” I said, after waving back to Julia.

May looked at me like she was planning something. “Come with us to the mall," she said, "There is someone I want you to meet."

There was no way May is going to get me to get into that car with all her friends to go meet someone. It’s probably a guy or something! I took a deep breath, "No, that’s ok. I'm too tired, and I have home work.” I tried to be convincing. "Just go without me."

May looked at me suspiciously. If there was anyone who could read me, it was May. She was not convinced. "Ok." she sighed while shrugging her shoulders.

I backed away from the car, and they drove off. I turned around and started for my house, when a gust of wind practically pushed me to my door. I walked inside, and I was greeted by my cat, Mouse. He looked up, and meowed with a delightful face. I crouched down, and he slowly walked towards me. Being as old as he was, he stopped half way and lied down. I stood up, and gently scooped him into my arms. His fluffy grey hair tickled my arms as I walked to my room. “You’re so fat.” I said teasingly. Setting him on my bed, I flung my bag off my shoulder, and it thumped to the wooden floor. I dragged my bag to my desk, and I flopped myself down onto the seat. I pulled out my binder, and started on my homework. Later my eye became heavy, and I set my head down to rest them for a little while. Seeming like a couple minutes later, May tapped my shoulder for me to wake up.

“Skyler, are you ok?” she said nudging me again. I shot my head up, and looked at the clock. “How long have you been asleep?” she asked laughing.

It was 10:00 pm I stood up, and put my papers in my bag. “I don’t know,” I said trying to think of when I fell asleep “4 hours maybe.”

She smiled, “Did you at least eat?” she said trying not to laugh anymore.

I threw my head back, and sighed. “Nope.” My stomach rumbled. I flung the door open, and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. I stuck an apple in my mouth, and walked back upstairs. I found my sister trying to close the window as a burst of wind surged through my room. “What was that?” I asked in shock.

“The wind blew the windows open!” she said locking them tight.

I threw the finished apple in my trash can, and pounced onto my bed where mouse still lied. He meowed in surprise, and clawed my blanket as my sister walked out laughing. I picked him up, and calmed him down. As soon as he was settled down I set him onto the floor, and wiggled myself under the worm thick covers. A few seconds later I fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up to the alarm, and did my usual routine. Except I did run down the stairs. Listening to each step creek as I saw Mouse laying at the bottom of the stair case. I greeted my mom, and walked to my table to grab two pieces of toast, then I walked out my front door. While waiting for my bus I found it was worm outside. Then out of nowhere I hear running foot steps behind me. It’s only May I thought, but when I turned around I and saw no one. The wind started up, and my hair blew into my face. As the bus was pulling up I pulled the hair out of my eyes, and found May standing right in front of me.

“Where did you come from?” I asked in puzzlement.

She looked at me with teasing eyes “I think your hair was in your face as I was walking up.” She walked onto the bus, and I followed her.

Finally at school, I see Mark, and her best friend Marissa. Mark’s dirty blonde hair stuck strait up, and his large muscular arms were folded over his broad chest. Marissa’s straight dark brown hair blew to the side, under her chin, as the wind breezed by. Her hands were in the back pockets of her blue skinny jeans. Marissa was pretty skinny, and tall, and she is extremely smart.

I rolled my eyes as the bus slowly came to a stop, then Mark and Marissa walked up. May stepped off, and greeted them. While they weren’t looking, I quickly walked by.

At the end of school, while I was walking home, my dad called me from where he works. “Hey baby girl.” He said sarcastically, as I answered the phone. “I need you to run to the store for me. Can you do that?”

I stopped and turned around for the store. “Yeah dad, what do you need?” I asked. As he was talking I looked around. Today was another rare peaceful day. The sun was out, and the worm wind was soft. After my dad told me what I needed to get, I hung up the phone and walked into the store.

When I was done shopping I headed back for home. Halfway there it began to get windy. It was so windy I couldn’t walk strait. Looking around at the bending trees a newspaper hit my face. Blinded by the black and white paper, the wind pushes me and I trip over a rock. Hitting my head on the side of the sidewalk, everything turned black.

Slowly opening my eyes I felt like I was flying. It seemed like I was in a warm field of white feathers, and all I could see was the sky. Slowly I closed my eyes, and fell asleep. What seemed like seconds later, I shot my head up, and found myself in an empty old room, or a small house. There were four windows one on each wall, and it sounded like there were people outside. I stood up and walked to the old red door. It flung open almost hitting me, and standing in front of me was a large beast. He looked like a giant eagle, but he had shiny white feathers covering his entire body. My stomach turned, and my heart stopped. His big blue eyes looked into mine, and I wasn’t scared anymore.

Suddenly I felt a spiral of wind surround me. My Glasses flung off my face and disappeared. My fluffy small curled hair turned into big natural curls, and my hair shortened to about an inch above my shoulders. My pink braces disappeared, and my teeth became strait. Finally the wind stopped, and I looked up at the bird. I wanted to say something, but no words came out. He took a step towards me, his feathers started streaming off is body, and they turned into a million sparkles, then blew away. Now standing in front of me was Brodey, the new guy. His eyes still looking straight into mine.

He took a breath, “Hi.” he said softly.

I tried to reply, but I was speechless. We just stood there, and looked each other. Finally he carefully took my wrist and showed me out. A burst of light hit my face, and my eyes closed shut, trying to avoid the harsh brightness of the sun. Slowly my eyes adjusted, and I could see. We were in a small field filled with white and purple flowers, and beautiful aspen trees surrounding us. Their light green leaves quivered as the soft magical breezed danced through. Standing in front of us were three large beasts. A dark golden griffin, a large black panther, and a long maroon dragon. Each creature hand a marking or a symbol on there right arm.

Dismounting of the large animals were three girls. I felt like I knew them. Looking closer I find the three girls being May, Marissa, and Julia. I never talked to Julia much, she’s a sophomore, but she was always in May’s group of friends at school. They all ran towards me in excitement. May was the first to reach me. She let out a squeal of excitement and gave me a hug. Then next came Marissa and Julia completing the moment with a group hug. I look passed them to see the animals, but all I find is Mark, Gianni, and Caden walking up behind us. Gianni was tall with tan skin, and dark brown hair. He was pretty skinny, and very muscular. Caden was also tall, and had light brown hair that curved to the side.

With teasing smiles they came up to Brodey and patted him on the back. The girls finally came out of the group hug, and I saw their necklaces. They had the same symbol that the creatures had on their shoulders. I swiftly turned around to find all the boys had that symbol tattooed to there right bicep. Then I realized the boys were the creatures, just like Brodey. Except Brodey didn’t have the mark. As soon as I realized what was going on I began to get dizzy. Brodey glanced over at me, and caught me as I fainted.

Later, I woke up in my bed. It was all a bad dream! I thought. I sat up and found Brodey, May, and Julia sitting in front of me. “Oh no…” I whispered disappointedly. May looked up and smiled.

“Good morning!” she said delightfully. Julia looked up at me and smiled.

“How do you feel?” asked Julia. “You were asleep for quite a while.” Brodey looked up at me, and nodded his head, like he was saying hi. Then he stood up, and walked out of the room.

“I feel fine, thank you.” I answered.

Julia smiled wider. “I’ll go get you a glass of water!” she said cheerfully. Standing up she glanced at May and walked out closing the door behind her.

“So I told mom and dad you tripped, and fell while I was pulling up in the car with Brodey and Julia. I said you hit your head and got knocked out.” She told me, “I told them that Brodey and I put you in the car and drove strait here.” She giggled. “You know, you have been acting way better than I did when this first happened to me my freshman year.” I started to get confused “I didn’t have lots of people to show me the ups and downs. I just had Mark. He was a great help though.” Julia walked in with the water and handed it to me before sitting down. “Then the next year Mark and I found Caden, and we knew there was going to be a new girl to our group. After that, Julia moved to town, and Caden fell right in love with her. We knew then she was it.” She just rambled on.

“What do you mean?” I asked scratching my head.

“You see Skyler, Mark, Gianni, Caden and Brodey are all called S-creatures. They turn into the beautiful beast you saw whenever they want. But for each S-creature there is a Fairy.”

I chocked on my water, “A fairy!” I said in disbelief.

“Yes a fairy. Now stop interrupting.” I nodded and she kept going. “Marissa, Julia and I are all fairies. Now a Fairy is first a normal girl, but then when an S-creature at the age of 15 meets or chooses a girl around the same age, she becomes a Fairy. The fairy and the S-creature become partners, never separate.” Knowing how hard it was for me to take in, May stopped and took a large and slow deep breathe. “Skyler, when we found Brodey, I was excited. Then when I found out who he chose, aka you, I became more excited. Know my sister gets to be like me, and love what I love, and be a part of the world I became a part of when I met Mark, it’s just amazing! It’s been so hard trying to keep this secret from you!”

“I have a question.” A said hesitantly. “Why did my hair change?”

May took another deep breath. “The way you look now is the way Brodey saw you when he first looked at you. Even if you weren’t, which you were, beautiful, he saw beauty. Then when your eyes finally met his for the first time, you transferred to how he always saw you. Your hair didn’t just change though, your whole appearance did.” I jumped out of my bed, and ran to my bathroom. Looking in the merrier, it was like I was looking at a whole new person. My hair was a hazel color with blonde highlights, and my eyes were big and brown. May walked up next to me, “While you were transforming you were also becoming a Fairy. You were given great powers and abilities. It happened to all of us. The reason why you can’t remember when I changed is because when a girl transforms into a Fairy, everyone they met becomes almost brain washed and only remembers the way she looks now, instead of then. That’s why you, mom, and dad don’t believe me when I say I was never always like this. Now mom and dad only remember you like this… perfect.” She took my glass from me and set it on the counter. “Now, go back to bed, get some rest. You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow.”

I walked to bed and threw the blankets over me. “Hey May.” I said before her and Julia left. She turned around and looked at me. “Why did Brodey leave when I woke up?” I asked.

She smiled in mockery. “He was pretty worried. When you finally woke up he was so happy he became overwhelmed. You see, Brodey is the kind of guy who doesn’t like to show too much emotion, so he left.” I nodded my head, slipped under my blanket and fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up to my alarm and checked the date on my phone. It was Sunday. I got out of bed and walked to the window. Sitting on the stairs was Brodey waiting for me. I rushed to my closet to get a decent outfit. About 10 minutes later I walk out my front door, and sat next to Brodey. “I’m glad to see you’re looking better.” He said acting calm. He stood up and put his hand out for mine. I grabbed it and he pulled me up. While doing so I noticed the symbol finally tattooed to his right bicep.

“Hey, you got the tattoo thing!” I said cheerfully.

He looked at his arm and nodded. “Um, yeah. I did” he said proudly. Then he reached to his pocket and pulled out a small box. “That reminds me…” He handed me the box, and stepped back. I opened it to find a necklace that had the same symbol as his tattoo on his arm. Proudly I put it on, and looked up at Brodey.

“Thank you!” I said cheerfully. Brodey stepped back even more, and a surge of wind blew around him causing Brodey to be unseen. Finally, when the wind went away, waiting for me was Brodey, as the huge beautiful white bird. He spoke to me, but I could only hear it in my mind. “Get on my back.” He said softly. I mounted on to his back, and held on tight. We flew off, shooting to the sky faster than a bullet.

Getting higher, and higher the neighborhood I lived in started getting smaller, and smaller until, it looked like a small cluster of pebbles. Looking up to the sky, I was blinded by the sun. There was something large in front of us, but I could not see it due to the overwhelming brightness. I put my right hand over my eyes to block the sun. Gasping in disbelief, I was greeted by a large island floating out of a cloud. It was covered by a large clear dome. Looking closer at the island, I realized it wasn’t made of rock. The island was a giant golden creature, in the shape of a sea turtle. Brodey flew up the side of the turtle, and we landed on its fin. I dismounted off his back, and we walked up to a large crystalized gate. Standing in front of the gate were two guards. They were dressed in golden armor, and carried large golden staffs. The guards looked at Brodey, then turned to the side in one stomp. Now facing each other, they punched their staffs into a hole in the ground. They waved the top of their staffs in a circle, while leaving the bottom in the hole. Slowly the shimmering gate opened with a soft screech. A small gust of wind surged around Brodey, and he had turned back to a boy. He looked back at me, and sharply nudged his head back, for me to follow.
