Throw back on the throttle with weights attached

Letting the road know he's ready to go

Juxtaposed lights turn yellow then red

Green light tells him to go

Friction takes grip and wheels start to slip

Engine purring; the same purr he bought it for

Tightening of leather around his grip

Swerving around traffic, almost got clipped

Light up ahead turns yellow then red

Weights get heavier and the purr starts to burn

Little did he know the cat was a mouse

Dark blue man hit the sirens behind him

Hit the pedal to the metal with the prey in sites of his iron

He stopped to live to die another day

The cop pulled up behind him

"Do you know how fast you were going?"

He told him no he only drives in darkness

"About one hundred and ten, give or take ten."

He was riding his ass like a Harley

Sorry officer, he was trying to get home

"You can find your home blindfolded?"

It's a game he played every now and then

Dark blue man didn't care

Threw him a paper and said "I bet you won't be late."
