I am a computer.

I am obsolete and I have a million viruses, all of the shady places I have been and things I have seen have irreversibly corrupted my file system. One of my viruses made it impossible for me to delete or modify any of the existing data on my hard drive, I can only add more. A root-kit that took over my entire operating system. The sad part is, that was the first virus I ever got. Now, after years of extensive use, and being host to so many despicable activities, I've accumulated an enormous amount of viruses, deficiencies and junk files that just cannot be modified or deleted. My hard drive is bursting at the seams, figuratively speaking. I will only continue to become slower and more cluttered from this point forward until I inevitably crash. I would wipe the hard drive and start from scratch if I could but my consciousness is merely software, therefor that would only wipe me out and I would no longer exist to reinstall myself. My only options, at this point are to ride out this enormous amount of data flooding my disk, memory and processor usage, waiting until I crash and cease to exist, or erase myself from existence to save my host hardware from deteriorating along with me.

If I really were a computer, life would be terrifying.

Almost as much as being human.
