A song wee

If I ever look your way he comes

The serpent, voice of sickness.

Hammers at my consciousness that I built out of slate

And was surprised to find it not a sturdy plate

When shatters, to a thousand tiny shards

It isn't hard,

You know,

To shatter me.

You are stunning, so stunning in fact

I find it rather fitting.

With my heart so scared to entertain a chance at love

With my soul hated by my self-made gods above

I look your way and then he comes to mind

Newly entwined

The serpent

Coils 'round me.

And here comes the gallant knight whisking

You from this weak grasp of mine

With a difficulty lesser than confectionery

Taken from baby; I can watch in misery

Or cry, but there's no use in crying now,

Nor knowledge how

To shake

Tears from my eyes

As I waste my borrowed time on this

I see I borrowed it

From you; that is, I pray that this will someday reach you

That you may somehow know how I felt; the whole truth

With no consequence to what I say, for

I'll be no more

There to be

Haunted by me.

While I cling on by my fingernails

I ask, please push me off the side

Because the only route revealed to me is downhill

Off a cliff, from whence the serpent came; god's will

Is that I die and take the beast with me

So I'll be free

And you

Are free from me.
