A short poem about the cleansing properties of rain. God, that summary sounds awful.

Rainwater gives the facsimile of tears

Making its way down my face

It washes away the blood and the filth

Corrupting my skin.

Each droplet is part of something greater

Everything has its place

The rain falls, and everybody

Runs indoors.

I’m out in the rain alone

Letting it wash away

The heartache.
