Arise! Arise!

O' my mouth is a desert valley

And a blue hand is clasped around my throat,

I'm sorry mother, for I cannot speak;

I must face this alone!

Arise! Arise!

O' swoon me summer month

And the blessings you hold inside,

Converge my sight, so I cannot look back;

Let me feel him!

Arise! Arise!

Embers of ash are blowing in my stomach

The wind is natures breath, I am apart,

Cells quake with burning wood, a new fire has been lit;

So let me burn!

Arise! Arise!

O' August has touched me

And I have been possessed by the spirit of a poet,

A revolution is happening inside;

I shall not resist, for I am a man!

Arise! Arise! Arise! Arise!
