Scars of lead shape the sky,

Bleaking the air with written shadows,

Smudged by winds slashed by leaves

And read by the azure’s indifference,

Scars of lead shape the sky,

Slitting all clouds into two,

Splitting the mists of each mountain-top

Into fogs painted with a layer of glass

Cutting the skin of those who smash,

Scars of lead shape the sky

And all men who walk below it,

A slave of ignorance to a silent Sea

Which drips pale fades of red

Upon the faces of those who fought

And for tell their birth in the mirror,

Scars of lead shape the sky

And the rain is but must fixed

In powdered clouds that slither down

Chins of quaking men and Earth;

Morphed and moulded, scars are ever changing

And faces ever looking at the Sky,

Hoping that the scars will not bleed again.
