Is it better to love than to not love at all?

I ask myself that question but my mind always stalls

Who takes the fall

When you realize that love chose wrong, heartache prolonged, feeling was strong, you thought you belonged...but...

When its all said and done there is no next level

No higher elevation and for that you must settle

In you're mind your stunned! Love shouldn't be this way!

You'll say and do whatever to get their doubts to sway

And shift to the opposite so you can be as one

And lift their apprehensions before you have to Un-Love...

But how can you Un-Love when they tell you what you want to hear?

They're the driver of your heart and you're letting them steer

They're taking you places that you've never been before

Making you feel good and wondering what's next in store?

When you're with them its heaven but when you're apart its hell

Will it be how you want? Only time will tell

But how much time must elapse when you finally realize

That while you're entertaining the thought of capturing their heart

They're re-evaluating their actions because it was a false start

On their end

And now because of their mis-step, you're mis-led and mis-read and want to be done and
