Let’s Get Lost.

I bought myself a camper, I did it at great cost

but it is a necessity when it comes to getting lost.

We won’t need no gps, no road maps will be fine,

when we want to navigate we’ll just use a sign.

Let’s get lost!

We’ll head towards those mountains, those ones that are so high,

and from the top we’ll take it in, and greet it with a sigh;

the forest is our next target and look – we’re nearly there,

keep an eye out for a puma or watch for a grizzly bear.

Let’s get lost!

So now we’ll taste the high life and stay in luxury,

but Five Star living doesn’t really suit either you or me.

The crowded streets are noisy, the pace of life too fast,

this is a destination that’s more suited to our past.

Let’s get lost!

How about the desert sand, so many empty miles,

as long as we’ve got loads of gas we’ll linger for a while.

But watch out for those devils, the ones of wind and sand;

we’ll have to just hole up inside if things get out of hand.

Let’s get lost!

Now we’ve hit the coastline, there, clearly, is the sea,

the crowded beaches aren’t the ones that appeal to you and me;

we prefer the quiet of a less famous bay

so we’ll carry on meandering until we find the way.

Let’s get lost!

There’s just one big problem – I’m not too keen to travel,

and that is something that could bring this journey to unravel.

I think I’ll do my travelling from the comfort of my seat;

reading is our way of getting lost without defeat!
