All those sorrows on my doorstep,

Seep and wash up on the shore.

Keep on staring in my window

While I sweep them off the floor.

They will worm and waste the daylight,

As I turn around and slip.

I won't let no one else think for me

As I sail this earthly ship.

-

There's so many full of sorrow,

And so full of twisted thoughts.

Try to lay out their imaginings

With the things they just have bought.

They will talk to me at sunset,

And when the morning starts to shift.

But I won't let no one else think for me

As I sail this earthly ship.

-

Now my love she stands before me,

And she's right here at my side.

Listens to my tumblings

That I never have to hide.

We will walk in greener pastures,

Holdings hands and blessing gifts.

We won't let no one else think for us

As we sail this earthly ship.

Don't let anyone think for you

As you sail this earthly ship.
