We’re paused on the edge of a mountain

The translucent winds have stopping winding through

skeletons of trees

There is a silence.

I have never known silence

since I have never heard it.

Someone was carrying me

He holds me aloft with steadying force

But I cannot see him

and he does not speak

I wonder if we wander

Or if this path was made for me

I remember my dream

where days passed like minutes

and I look back

at the peaks of mountains behind me

And the ocean of fog beneath

And only one thing is clear

If I want to move forward

I must go back to sleep.
