The silent war exists within

The force of dark, the cloth given
The table bare, the others gone
So cold so worn the beast is on

The forceful push the hardened wood
The fear, the warmth, it's all for good
The blackened day beyond the glass
Quiet and still so weak the blast

Defiled and yet the mask parades
I say goodbye I never fade
The cold night air, a welcome chill
The scent of man my senses fill

I tell myself that cannot be
A man of God, of trust is he
Darkness calls on all who fear
I change the mask, I disappear

silence bought for shame and guilt
Good foundations strongly built
Manipulated for greed and lust
Earth rotates a world unjust
