Echo’s of sunken treasures urge me to sink

Swimming in a sea of dead memories

Got a ship built on healing melodies,

Life sent its tides to sink me.

Sailing on this enigmatic ocean

Until I find my sunny shore,

It will heal my burning sores ,

A  tranquil place to call home.

Sea sick of flooding demons

Vast ocean of endless nothing ,

Sailing back is not an option,

Sailing forward is dreadfully difficult.

I escaped from a lonely island of pain,

Lost in this vast blue nothing I must find something.

Alas a storm of reality  is  here

Gnashing brutally at me,

Ship wrecked from hope

I paddle away from this wreckage I call life.

My life raft of determination heads towards the horizon

My heart is the only map and compass I need,

Echo’s of sunken treasures urge me to sink

To dive deep and find a chest of  meaning .

Drowning is giving into despair, breathing is having faith

Dying is  letting  go , living is pain.

I watch life deflate my raft

I drop my paddle and I sink,

My body becomes an anchor .

Just before I hit rock bottom my dreams float me up ,

Giving  me  strength,  I dare to swim .

Exhausted I have found shore

Marooned on a pristine Island

Home is but a second chance.
