Playing With Fate

I’m running on empty, rolling those dice,

hoping that the results bring something nice.

I’m having a hand dealt, look at my cards,

I guess that it’s playable but kinda hard.

I’m not gambling with cash, I don’t have money,

I’m betting with life and it’s not really funny.

A gun without bullets I hold to my head;

it’s shooting out futures – possibilities instead.

I’m playing those cards that I will call fate,

it seems that it doesn’t want me to placate.

This fate is a tough one, won’t give me a clue --

it’s keeping my future away from my view.
