I woke up to the cold air blowing through the creeks of my windows. Shivering, I stood up beside my bed, obtained my robe and started to the door. Going down the stairs, I was greeted by Mom, Dad and my sister, Emmy. Through my blurry eyes I could see wrapped presents underneath the Christmas tree in the corner of the living room. Then I remembed - it's Christmas day! My excitement increased and couldn't resist going to open them up.

"Not yet, John", my mothers said. I began to feel disappointed.

"Why?", I asked.

"You forgot to give me and daddy a hug!"

I went over to mom first, gave her a hug, went to dad, gave him a hug and did the same to Emmy.

"Thank you, sweety", mom said. "You may now open your presents."

My heart began to race. I quickly ran over to the presents and was amazed by how many there were.
