Both lover, both addicts,

stared distantly into each other's eyes and were lost in each other

the depth of their thoughts and emotions were too deep to comprehend and the only thing keeping them down on earth was their love for each other

in that moment neither one was more aware or awake than each other

their lives were plagued by the lack of ability they had to be stable.

He looked unto her, and outstretched his hand to her

in the palm of his hand sat a needle

ram-packed with an icy clear substance

both knew there'd be no coming back from it, that it'd be their last ever hit

yet they knew in their hearts, there was never a better time to die than with each other, in this moment

so, he wrapped the belt around his arm and she pushed the needle gently into the vein of his elbow,

she didn't even wipe the needle, or take the belt,

before she pushed it into her vein as well.

She grabbed his hand and lay back

they both flew around the room and were on another planet

they could feel a burn in their throat, it was vomit

neither could move so they just gripped each other's hand tighter.

they felt the sensation loosen and they both drifted further and further away until there was no feeling left

they were gone

the world they hated so much could hurt them no more.

They died hand in hand, together they died, and together they'd be remembered

happiest they had ever been

such a beautiful tragedy
