Just because we don't agree it doesn't mean that either of us is wrong.

It seems that for me to voice an opinion is inane,

Such a stupid intervention that is bordering on insane.

How can I just dare to talk when I don’t know what is what;

Any type of intellectual I most certainly am not.

But that doesn’t mean that I can’t think, and work things out myself;

So it might be hard to find some on a random library shelf.

I’m told to do some research before I speak my mind

But ‘research’ will back anything, you will surely find.

If you narrow down your searches, pick just where you look,

You’ll find that there’ll be plenty that won’t challenge your outlook.

I don’t like to accept just what I’m told like a mindless drone,

Preferring to think for myself and work it out alone.

So just because we obliviously don’t seem to agree

It doesn’t mean that you are right – it could just as well be me.
