This is my first shot at poetry and I don't really know how I feel about it.

Her.

Her name spells tragedy but only brings happiness.

Her smile brightens the day even though her tears bring dismay.

She never lets her emotions out and it makes me depressed and my day feel gray.

Her lips are incredibly inviting, there's no end for the longing,

That I have to hold and kiss her, to tell her she’s loved and that I will miss her.

To feel her touch again, the thought just makes me quiver.

But she’s a forbidden fruit and I’ve become Adam, I ignored her boundaries and only felt lust for her

Is it bad that I don’t feel regret? That spilling my heart out to her only made me lust for her more?

To love and to be loved, it is a game of roulette that I have partaken in.

The barrel has started spinning and it’s just me now, scared of losing her

But the trigger is being squeezed, and when it fires who will be left standing

Possibly not me but for her it would be.

I love her and she loves me.
