High To Low

One minute I’m flying up in the sky

But then I drop so low;

It’s only a matter of waiting a while

For you to not want to know.

It’s like walking on a rainbow,

A slide of up and down;

Don’t ever take me seriously --

You know that I’m a clown.

A little drop of madness,

A dash of pure nonsense,

Is waiting round the corner

Hiding behind that fence.

You’ll see me as I really am,

The illusion, it won’t stay;

I’ll end up back all by myself

When you just walk away.

I’ll bury my head down in the sand,

Denying all my fears.

You’ll take away a part of me

And I’ll be left in tears.
